Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU)
VEU discounts may be available for eligible air conditioning and heat pump hot water upgrades. Final eligibility depends on the product installed, existing system being replaced, site conditions and program rules.
The Victorian Government states that heating and cooling discounts may help eligible households save on upfront costs when upgrading to efficient reverse-cycle air conditioners, but eligibility and discount amounts depend on the upgrade type and program requirements.

Solar Victoria offers several programs for Victorian households, including solar panel rebates, hot water rebates and other Solar Homes programs. Eligibility and availability can change over time.
Solar Victoria also offers hot water rebates for eligible heat pump and solar hot water products, with higher rebates for some locally made products.
STCs for Solar and Batteries
Federal Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) may reduce the upfront cost of eligible solar and battery installations. Most system owners assign the right to create STCs to an agent in exchange for an upfront discount.
The value depends on system size, location, eligibility, installation date and STC market value. Eligible solar batteries must be between 5 kWh and 100 kWh nominal capacity, and STCs can only be claimed on the first 50 kWh of usable capacity.
Cheaper Home Batteries Program
The Commonwealth Cheaper Home Batteries Program provides an upfront discount for eligible battery systems for households, businesses and community organisations, subject to program rules and availability.
